DFA Design for Asia Awards 2019でBronzeを受賞いたしました。
受賞作品は、日本酒「天明」です。
この作品は、他のコンペティションにおいても良い評価をいただいております。とても嬉しいです。
このようなデザインをする機会をいただいたクライアント酒商山田さんに感謝いたします。
今回の授賞式は香港の最近の状況を判断され中止になり、残念ながら参加できませんでした。
また、いつか香港へ行ける機会があればいいなと思います。

日本タイポグラフィ年鑑2020にて日本酒パッケージ「天明」が審査員賞を杉崎真之助さんからいただきました。この「天明」はサブタイトル「MITSUGO」とし、3本シリーズのお酒です。3つは、精米率がことなっており、一般的には、磨けば磨くほど上質なお酒になるという常識とは真逆の発想から生まれた低精米酒です。農家さんが手塩にかけて作ったお米をできるだけまるまる楽しみたいというコンセプトのお酒です。
ラベルデザインは素材そのもの、全てを大事に大切にという思考をもとに
天明の「天」をモチーフに酒の雫をイメージ。普通の印刷ラベルではなく、穴があくことによって天明の透明感、爽やかさを出し、透き通るように見せています。お酒を飲むときに穴あきのラベルであれば楽しさもあり、穴のあいたラベルから見える景色が天明の歴史とリンクします。

I received a jury prize from Shinnosuke Sugisaki at the Japan Typography Yearbook 2020. The award-winning work is the sake package “Tenmei”. This “Tenmei” is a subtitle “MITSUGO” and is a three-series sake. The third is a low-milled rice brewed from the idea that it is the opposite of the common sense that the more polished you are, the higher the quality of sake. This is a sake with the concept that you want to enjoy as much as possible the rice that the farmer made with all your heart.
This is sake that is made based on the idea that the material itself, everything is important.I imagined a bottle of sake with the motif of the kanji character “Ten”. This is not an ordinary print label. There is a hole in the label.The hole is open, and it shows the clarity and freshness of this liquor, making it appear transparent.
When everyone drinks, it is fun if it is a perforated label, and the view seen from the perforated label is linked to the history of Tenmei.

9月16日から中国杭州へ中国国際ポスタービエンナーレの国際審査員として行ってきました。中国へ行くのは今回が初めてだったのですが、想像以上に中国の現状がすごくていろいろな事に驚かされました。
このコンペティションは中国最大規模の世界ポスターコンペティションで中国美術学院で行われました、大学の広さにまず驚かされました。敷地内にいくつもの斬新なデザインの建築物。隈研吾が設計した中国美術学院民芸博物館もありました。
今回のビエンナーレにはシリーズ作品と単品で2700出品されており総合計すると約3000点の出品があったと思います、一次審査が事前に行われ120枚までに絞られていました。杭州2日目、朝から賞を決めるため審査が行われました。今回の審査員は 中国のBIさんZHAOさん、ドイツのGötzさん 、スイスのCybuさん、日本からは対馬肇の合計5名でした。中国語、日本語、英語、ドイツ語が飛び交いながら、言語の壁はなかなか難しいものがありましたが、デザインをみる上で国境はないので、大変でしたがおもしろかったです。英語がしゃべれたらな〜とつくづく感じました。なんどもなんども内容を確認し現物と照らし合わせ細部の印刷へのこだわり作り込みなど審査検討しつづけました。
3日目は、オープニングセレモニーと、レクチャー、フォーラムでした。400人くらい収容するホールが満席で中国の学生はとても熱心に聞いてくださり、講義（講演）もなんとか無事終了しました。
最後の夜はみなさんとの晩餐を楽しみ、短い時間でしたがとても良い時間を過ごさせていただきました。いろいろなことを学ぶことができ自分も奮起させていただきました。中国国際ポスタービエンナーレの関係者の皆様に感謝いたします。ありがとうございました。また杭州の中国美術学院に行く事がありそうです。

Since September 16, I have been to Hangzhou, China as an international judge for the China International Poster Biennale. I went to China for the first time. I was surprised by the fact that China is so much more than I imagined.This competition was held at the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts at China’s largest world poster competition. I was surprised by the size of the university. I was able to see a number of innovatively designed buildings on the premises. There was also the Chinese Art Academy Folk Art Museum designed by Kengo Kuma. In this biennale, 2600 items were exhibited as series and single items, and in total, I think there were about 3000 items. 120 sheets were selected after screening in advance. On the second day of Hangzhou, a screening was conducted to determine the award from the morning. The judges were 2 Chinese, German, Swiss and Japanese totaling 5 people. The language barrier was quite difficult while Chinese, Japanese and English were mixed, but it was difficult but interesting because there were no borders when looking at the design. I felt like I could speak English. The third day was the opening ceremony, lecture and forum. The hall with a capacity of about 400 people is full and Chinese students listened very enthusiastically and the lecture was successfully completed. On the last night, we enjoyed a dinner with the staff and the judges, and we had a very good time. I was able to learn many things and I was inspired. I would like to thank the people involved in the China International Poster Biennale. Thank you very much.

9月17日に審査が行われ、18日にオープニングセレモニー、フォーラムが開催されます。週のはじまりから週末まで滞在します。その後日本へ帰国予定です。

2015年の第7回中国国際ポスタービエンナーレで「いのち」ポスターがグランプリを受賞しました。その審査会に審査員として呼んでいただけ大変光栄に思います。中国は初めてなので楽しみです。

第3回国際ポスター展“Graphic Design, Challenging the Perception”の展覧会が3月にキプロスのリマソールで開催されました。このコンテストには世界27カ国から820枚のポスターが集まりました。
先月、証明書が届きました。私は「The Wind」のポスターを出品しました。
この展覧会には、世界的に有名なデザイナーのDavid CarsonやAngeliki Athanasiadi、Andreas Pitsillides、Aristarchos Papadaniil、Irene Gonou、Costas Mantzalosなど、著名なデザイナーによる16の作品が含まれています。
私はこの展覧会の50人のデザイナーの中に選ばれました。

The 3rd International contest by Graphic Stories Cyprus, entitled “Graphic Design, Challenging the Perception”, took place on Friday 15 of March 2019. The contest gathered 820 posters from 27 countries from all over the world.
I received the certificate last month. I entered a poster of “The Wind”.
The exhibition included 50 distinguished artworks that emerged from the competition, as well as 16 artworks by remarkable designers including the world-renowned designer David Carson and Angeliki Athanasiadi, Adonis Papadopoulos, Andreas Pitsillides, Aristarchos Papadaniil, Irene Gonou, Kostas Kanellopoulos, Costas Mantzalos, Michalis Theocharides, Paris Koutsikos, Spyros Drakatos – Tonia Avgoustaki, Charis Tsevis, Chao Yang, Kirill Sukhanov, Nataliya Schigorets and Sina Afshar.

バウハウス生誕100周年を記念してポスターエキシビションが開催され招待作家として作品を展示し図録にしていただきました。
バウハウスと言えばFUTURAフォントが好きでよくデザインに使用しています。ご招待いただき感謝いたします。
開催場所はトルコでギレスン大学です。会期は終了しています。

A poster exhibition was held to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Bauhaus’s birth, and the works were exhibited as pictorial writers as invited artists.

ブランディングさせていただきました高級生食パン「天使のパン」の販売が3月初旬から始まりました。広島駅の駅前大橋を渡ったところにある広島グランドインテリジェントホテル1Fにある「アマティ」というレストランで販売されています。国産小麦ゆめちから100％でできているこの食パンは、そのまま生で食べるともちもち感がありずっしり食べごたえがあります。トーストしてもしっとりしてとても美味しい食パンです。
今は一日数限定でなくなれば終わりなので、食べたい方は、午前中に行ってみて下さい。
1斤　550円です。

お土産や贈り物には箱付きの小さい食パン（500円）をおススメ。もちろんこの箱もデザインさせていただきました。こちらは要予約。
